Made a new release (B4A 7.80) from the code of another app (B4A old version). Compiled ok. Not accepted by G Play, because... The APK or Android App Bundle package must have the name ---old production release--- Manually editing AndroidManifest.xml with no result: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> -<manifest android:installLocation='internalOnly' android:versionName='ERLA_AN' android:versionCode='8' package='re.revive.eloisa' xmlns:android='http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android'> According to G Play, package would be: erla.eloisa ???Thank you
Android Studio Package
All Android apps have a package name. The package name uniquely identifies the app on the device; it is also unique in the Google Play store. In MasterStudy App there is a specific package name that is used: com.example.masterstudyapp. You should change it to your own package name, for example, com.mycompany.name where the Mycomapny will be. I've done this a few times with my own code. The easiest way: Step 1: Select the Project option from left menu of Android Studio Step 2: Right click on java and add a new package and set the desired package name Step 3: Enter you new packagenam. Once the app is published, the package name cannot be changed. If you'd like to change your package name, your only option is to un-publish your existing app, and then re-publish as a new app with the correct package name. When editing your app through our website, you may modify your package name under Build Settings. Changing Package Name is a crucial part of any Android application as many of the core libraries and R.java file depends on the package name. Changing the package name was bit easy task for the Eclipse users, but this might not be the same in Android Studio as the package level names are not displayed in Eclipse style.
